After several years of successful hiphop-parties like Appelsap (Oosterpark) and creating the highly anticipated concept deHop, Dutch entrepreneurs Wiecher & Rogier of Hendsum & Young joined forces with the young likemind Nalden, who has a background in the music industry and advertising and also conquered the internet with his weblog, to start a recordlabel together.

Appletree Records, based in Amsterdam and founded in 2006 is all about a fresh, positive sound and mindstate. Searching new musical talent and bringing their music to the masses. Releasing music that needs to be heard. While Dutch hiphop makes moves throughout the Netherlands, Appletree Records sees the world as a potential market and playground. Appletree stimulates collaborations with international artists and believes in the power of real, unpolished music from the heart. Early 2007 is the start of a new musical era, an era with Appletree music world wide.

Besides a label, Appletree hosts a Cafe at Amsterdam hotspot Lofel & Burke every sunday (Appletree Cafe) and every fourth Satruday of the month organizes Appletree Nights in the Bitterzoet, in purpose of showcasing artists, dj´s and producers.
