Woodbuyers presents I AM NY
April 2009 marks 400 years since Captain Henry Hudson departed Amsterdam on a Dutch East India Company ship, the Halve Maen (Half Moon)… That September, Hudson sailed up the New York River that now bears his name. Hudson’s voyage attracted Dutch traders to the area, leading to the establishment of diverse, relatively tolerant settlements: New Amsterdam and the New Netherland colony.
If you are interested in more history, read all about it here on the ny400 website. For us it is nevertheless a great reason to present our first Woodbuyers event: I AM NY, in cooperation with Coffee Company, Karel&Sjaak, Planet Farce & Löfel&Burke.
For this special occasion we invited Evil Dee (Beatminers, Brooklyn, NY) to represent his city and make a NYC-beat in front of a live audience. He will enter a friendly battle (all winners!) against one of Amsterdams finest producers Big2 (The Opposites) who’s responsible for many Dutch dancefloor classics. He will create an AMS-beat live on the spot. DJ’s Danny de Funk, Lil’Vic (Planet Farce) and Karel & Sjaak will play the tunes, and be sure not to miss the once-in-a-lifetime-finally-buy-what-you-always-wanted-to-buy-supersale by 290 square meters! Also we have the launch of junkfoodesignmagazine Yummy’s 3rd issue. And more fastfood will be arranged by Löfel & Burke. There is NO guestlist, you pay 5 euros to get in, but the booze is free! (special thanks to Jameson and Coffee Company)
To top it all off, after that we go straight to Jimmy Woo where Evil Dee will do a dj-set at Grandmaster Woo with DJ Manga and MC Melodee to party the night away NYC style!

Hi,
quick question. Do I just pay 5 euros at the door on April 2nd to get in or do I need to get tickets in advance?
Thanks for the answer!
